Question:
How many keys are there on a standard piano ?

Answer:
There are 88 keys on a standard piano. Out of these 52 are coloured white, the naturals, and 36 are coloured black, the accidentals or sharps and flats.
The compass of the keyboard has changed over time as the piano has developed.
Notably, the Boesendorfer Imperial Grand has a compass of 8 octaves C to C, which is 97 Keys.
